Pennsylvania man sentenced to prison in a case where prosecutors and court documents say he made AI deepfake nude images of a teenage neighbor
A Bucks County, Pennsylvania, judge sentenced a man to state prison on 14 October 2026 after he pleaded guilty to child sexual abuse material and theft charges. According to court documents and prosecutors, detectives who began investigating him in June 2025 found AI-generated deepfake nude images of a teenage girl he knew, a neighbor, on his devices; her face had been placed on other bodies. The day after the arrest he was recorded entering her family's home and stealing her underwear. Her father described the family's distress in court, and the Inquirer reports that she is struggling at school, taking antidepressants and in therapy. The Philadelphia Inquirer reports a sentence of seven to 10 years. The Bucks County Courier Times gave seven to 12 years in its first report and seven to 20 years after republishing it to update the sentence length. Neither report names the AI tool.

AI system as recorded: An unidentified AI tool used, according to court documents and prosecutors, to make deepfake nude images of a teenage girl by placing her face on other bodies
What Happened
The sentencing. The Philadelphia Inquirer reports that a Bucks County Court judge sentenced the man to state prison on Wednesday 14 October 2026. Earlier in 2026 he had pleaded guilty to possessing child sexual abuse material (nearly 700 pictures and videos found on his phone and tablet) and to theft. The Bucks County Courier Times, carried by The Sentinel, gives the same date and describes a negotiated plea deal covering two related cases. The reports differ on the term. The Inquirer gives seven to 10 years. The Courier Times first gave seven to 12 years plus one year of probation, and later republished its report to update the sentence length to seven to 20 years plus one year of probation. The judge ruled him a sexually violent predator and ordered no contact with the victim.
The AI-generated images. The Courier Times reports that court documents say a forensic download of his electronic devices found AI-generated deepfake nude images of a 'known' teenage girl, with her face placed on the bodies of other people. The Inquirer reports prosecutors saying that detectives investigating his phone found the deepfake images he had made of his teenage neighbor, a girl he had known for years. Neither report names the tool or says how the images were established to be AI-generated.
The investigation and theft. According to the affidavit cited by the Inquirer, detectives began investigating in June 2025 after tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children about uploads of abuse material. The day after his arrest he was recorded on the family's home camera entering the girl's home and stealing her underwear.
The harm described in court. The girl's father told the court that his family's lives had been 'dismantled in ways we can't describe'. The Inquirer reports, in its account of his statement, that the girl, formerly a straight-A student, is struggling in school, taking antidepressants and undergoing therapy for the trauma. The statement covers all of the man's conduct toward her, so the share of the harm caused by the AI-generated images is not separately stated.
The defence. His lawyer said he was abusing Adderall at the time and that the medication played a role in his creation of the deepfake images. The prosecutor disputed that account and said he had deliberately targeted a girl he had known for years.
Reported harm
According to court documents and prosecutors, a man made AI deepfake nude images of a teenage neighbor. Her father described the family's distress in court, and she is reported to be struggling at school, taking antidepressants and in therapy.
Outcome
ResolvedHe pleaded guilty earlier in 2026 to child sexual abuse material and theft charges in two related cases and was sentenced on 14 October 2026 to state prison. The Inquirer reports seven to 10 years. The Bucks County Courier Times reported seven to 12 years plus one year of probation under a negotiated plea deal, then republished its report to update the term to seven to 20 years plus one year of probation. The judge ordered no contact with the victim and ruled him a sexually violent predator, which requires lifetime registration with the Pennsylvania State Police.
What remains unknown
- Which AI tool was used and how investigators established that the images were AI-generated
- When the images were made (they were on devices examined in the investigation that began in June 2025, the month of his arrest; incident_date records that month)
- How many images there were and whether they were shared
- The exact maximum term: the Inquirer gives 10 years, and the Courier Times gave 12 years before updating its report to 20 years
What the evidence supports
AI involvement: reported. The Bucks County Courier Times reports that, according to court documents, a forensic download of the man's devices found AI-generated deepfake nude images of a teenage girl he knew, made by placing her face on the bodies of other people. The Inquirer reports prosecutors saying that detectives found deepfake images he had made of his teenage neighbor using artificial intelligence. The tool's output is the sexual depiction of the girl (depicted_or_impersonated). Her father described the family's distress in court, in relation to the man's conduct as a whole. Neither report names the tool or states the technical basis for the AI finding.

Reviewed for publication 2026-10-15: Published as a reported case from two separate newsroom reports of the same court record. Court documents and prosecutors say the man used an AI tool to make deepfake nude images of a teenage neighbor, and a judge sentenced him to state prison after guilty pleas. The images themselves are the abuse of the girl depicted, and her father described her distress in court. Neither the man nor the girl is named here.
People described
A teenage girl, the man's neighbor, whose face court documents say was used in AI-generated deepfake nude images; her family also described harm in court
People reported harmed in this case

0 AI participants · 1 other person harmed
Additional affected people are described without a reliable count.
One teenage girl is depicted in the AI-generated images (claims c2 and c3), so one person is counted. Her father described harm to the whole family, which is not counted separately because his statement covers all of the man's conduct, including the theft. Children in the man's non-AI abuse material are not counted.
Counted once within this case. The same person may appear in other cases. This count does not establish AI causation.

Braintree, Essex: a bar worker was jailed for five years for making AI deepfake pornography of 20 women he knew, including a 16-year-old's prom photo, and posting it with their names and phone numbers on a forum glorifying rape
Between March 2023 and May 2024 Brandon Tyler, 26, a bar worker from Braintree, Essex, took images from the social-media pages of 20 women he knew, used AI to remove clothing or otherwise make them sexually explicit, and posted 173 times on an online forum that, in the prosecutor's words, championed 'rape culture and sexual violence to women', adding the women's names, social-media handles and phone numbers and, under one picture, asking 'which one deserves to be gang raped?'. One edit was made from a 16-year-old girl's prom-night photograph. He was caught after including his own Instagram handle in a screenshot. On 4 April 2025 at Chelmsford Crown Court, having admitted 18 counts of causing harassment without violence and 15 counts of sharing an intimate photo or film for sexual gratification, he was sentenced to five years' imprisonment; Judge Alexander Mills called his conduct 'the worst kind of toxic masculinity'. Two victims told the court of the impact: one said she still received anonymous sexual calls and that her long-term relationship had ended; another said she felt 'completely violated'.
Namakkal, India: man arrested over obscene images of his wife's two sisters that a Tamil daily says he made with AI and threatened to post, Oct 2026
In the Kumarapalayam area of Namakkal district, Tamil Nadu, India, a man was arrested on Saturday 10 October 2026 after his wife's elder and younger sisters and their family complained to the Tiruchengode all-women police station. According to the Tamil daily Daily Thanthi, he had secretly collected ordinary photographs of the two women, turned them into obscene images using AI technology and threatened to share them on social media. Police investigating with cyber-crime officers confirmed that the morphed images were on his devices and seized his laptop and mobile phones. The account rests on one newspaper report; the tool is not named and no statement from the accused is reported.
Cookeville, Tennessee: two high-school students were charged with aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor after the sheriff's office said they used an AI program to turn photographs, including those of female classmates, into sexually explicit images and posted them; the mother of one depicted girl says her daughter shut herself in her room and stopped talking to friends
On 31 August 2026 the Putnam County Sheriff's Office was told of possible sharing of sexually explicit images at Cookeville High School. Detectives found that two male teenage students had used an artificial-intelligence program to turn photographs obtained online, in some cases photographs of fellow female students, into sexually explicit images, and had shared them; explicit images already stored on one phone were also shared. Both juveniles were taken to the Putnam County Juvenile Detention Center. One was charged with one count each of aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor and especially aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor, the other with two counts of each. The district attorney told NewsChannel 5 on 21 September that the two would be prosecuted in juvenile court. The mother of one of the depicted girls told the station the episode was very hard on her daughter, who had made no naked photographs herself, locked herself in her room and would not talk to her, to anybody or to her friends. The sheriff's-office account and the school system's statement were carried by WZTV, WSMV and 3B Media News on 1-2 September; NewsChannel 5 added its own interviews with the sheriff, the district attorney and the mother on 21 September. The tool is not named. The juveniles are not named in any report.
