Elijah Heacock - AI Sextortion Death (Kentucky)

Elijah 'Eli' Heacock, a 16-year-old student at Caverna High School in Glasgow, Kentucky, died by suicide on February 28, 2025.

Perpetrators created AI-generated nude images of the teenager, then contacted him with threats to distribute the images to his family and friends unless he paid $3,000. Text message evidence showed that Heacock sent a partial payment, to which the extortionists responded 'This is not enough.'

Heacock died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
