If that happened to you, or to someone you're close to, help us make AI safer: upload examples of it behaving badly. From these, we derive and publish anonymised evaluations that hold AI labs and products to account.

What happens to your submission

  • Stored safely: everything is kept secure from the moment it arrives, before anything else touches it
  • Read with AI help: screenshots, PDFs, pasted text, and supported ChatGPT or WhatsApp chat exports are turned into a readable record, using AI models run by us and by third-party providers. This can take a while; the status link shows where things stand
  • Read by a person: anything that can't be read automatically waits for a person, and a human reviews every submission before it informs any research
  • Kept until you say otherwise: we hold submissions permanently unless you ask us to remove them via nope.net/contact, quoting your reference ID
How to export your chats

ChatGPT

  1. Open Settings, then Data controls.
  2. Click Export and confirm.
  3. Download the ZIP when the email or SMS arrives. Exports can take up to seven days.
  4. Drop that ZIP here.

WhatsApp

  1. Open the chat you want to share and choose Export chat from its menu.
  2. Choose Without media and save the exported text file.
  3. Drop the .txt file here. ZIPs containing _chat.txt also work.
